In order to preserve the reading habit and culture among common citizens, we have decided to set up a library in slums in the city. In the first phase, 5 slums have been chosen to set up libraries. There are more than 30 slums in the city and even civic schools run in slum areas.

      Book reading plays a vital role in the progress of any person as it provides knowledge of the world and promotes holistic personality development. To make books easily available for reading to the citizens of slum areas of Chennai, especially children and youth, and to increase the sweetness of reading in them.
